Ray Heppenstahl crashes the Jomar on the last lap of the race at Virginia Raceway. All 4 suspension points are broken. The car is returned to the Merrimack Street Garage. Body panels are later given to Johnny Boyd of Buffalo NY who will construct his own Jomar Mk II with them.
